What data PropRef collects, how advertising cookies work on this site, and how to control them.
What we collect directly
PropRef has no sign-up, no accounts, and no forms that collect personal information. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the site. Standard web server logs (the kind any hosting provider keeps automatically — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) may be retained briefly for security and performance troubleshooting, not for building a profile of you.
Cookies & advertising (Google AdSense)
Once advertising is enabled, PropRef will use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet, in order to show ads that are more relevant to you.

Analytics
If PropRef adds a web analytics tool (such as Google Analytics) in the future, it will collect aggregate, non-identifying usage data — which pages are visited, how long, and general device/location category — to understand which state pages and resources are most useful. This policy will be updated if and when that's turned on.

PropRef exists to link out to official government websites and documents. Those sites have their own privacy policies and cookie practices, entirely independent of ours — we don't control, and aren't responsible for, what a government portal does with your data once you click through. Children's privacy
PropRef is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Doing so may affect how ads are personalized but won't affect your ability to use PropRef's core content. See the opt-out links above for advertising-specific controls.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes — for example, when advertising or analytics actually go live. The version here at the time you read it is the one that applies.
